KPAN AM-FM currently simulcasts its programming. The AM is at 860 khz, with a power of 250 watts. The FM is at 106.3 mhz with a power of 30,000 watts and antenna height of 270 feet above average terrain. The audio is also available on Hereford Cablevision channel 8 and Friona W.T. Services Cable channel 76.

       KPAN is operated by Clint and Chip Formby. The Old Philosopher, Clint Formby, has the one of the longest-running daily radio programs in America, "The Day-by-Day Philosopher", which is heard Monday-Saturday at 7:45 am. KPAN Local News has been reported by Chip since 1978, with four expanded and five headline newscasts daily. The KPAN RadioGram contains local headlines and is distributed at 15 outlets in Hereford weekdays.

       KPAN has been the NOAA weather observer for Hereford since 1981, and provides weather data and specific local forecasts, along with severe weather alerts.
