                  61 years with the Whitefaces!

         The KPAN sports team includes County Judge Tom Simons, who began announcing Whiteface football games in 1972. Tom has been with the Herd teams through thick and thin, including five 4A state volleyball titles, the state title football game in Texas Stadium and the state basketball tournament at Erwin Center.  His able assistant in football is W.H. "Cuby" Kitchens, a noted coach, athlete and golfer in his own right.  HHS girls' athletic director Brenda Kitten provides commentary for broadcasts during the basketball season.
